We were proud to take part in the Summer Night Lights Baseball Program for the first time this year — a community-driven initiative sponsored by the New York Yankees that brought together young athletes from across New York City for exciting evening baseball and softball games under the lights.
Summer Night Lights was a free, co-ed baseball and softball league designed to keep youth active, engaged, and connected throughout the summer. Games were held every Tuesday and Wednesday evening during July and August at Elston Gene Howard Field, located on the historic site of the original Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
Born in New York City in 2017, after our founder decided to give something back to sports, Flag Nation is a tool to bring young people closer to sports.
The program offered players ages 12 to 18 the opportunity to enjoy structured competition, teamwork, and personal growth in a safe and positive environment. The season featured weekly tournament-style games and concluded with a championship event that celebrated both athletic excellence and community pride.
Summer Night Lights was made possible through the partnership and support of the New York Yankees, NYPD Blue Chips Program, NYC Parks, the New York City Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD), The Players Alliance, and SCAN-Harbor, as part of Major League Baseball’s PLAY BALL initiative. Together, these partners created an inspiring program that built stronger communities and provided meaningful opportunities for New York City youth.
As first-time participants, we were thrilled to be part of this incredible program and contribute to a summer tradition that united baseball, teamwork, and community — all under the bright lights of the Bronx.

El deporte desde hace 8 años en nuestro proyecto ha sido parte fundamental para lograr una integridad humana, en cada uno de los niños que han aceptado el gran reto con la ayuda y colaboración de sus padres de participar bajo este programa deportivo.
